Accounting POSITION SUMMARY To assure accuracy in the processing of payables and receivables.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Validate vendor merchandise invoices for 3 way match.
(Verify- Drop- Ship) Ensure that all expense and recurring bills have proper authorization for payment assigning a general ledger account base on the expense type.
Maintain open payables file.
Process recurring monthly payments.
Conduct twice- weekly checks runs on set schedule.
Analyze and reconcile vendor statement monthly for accuracy.
Post checks to customer accounts.
Process lockbox receipts and credit card payments.
Apply ACH payments to customer accounts.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Strong knowledge of accounts payable/receivables principles and procedures.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience in processing expense and inventory invoices.
Able to work in a high-volume environment.
Strong data entry and ten-key skills.
Strong Excel skills.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
High School Diploma, or equivalent, preferred.
Experience in distribution preferred but not required.
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
Distribution Business Experience preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT SEDENTARY - Exerts up to 10 lbs.
of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
