Production Supervisor Food manufacturing and packaging facility in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Description:
Growing food packaging/production company is seeking an experienced, interactive supervisor to efficiently manage the daily operations and the staff of a food packaging facility in a timely and professional manner in accordance with company standards.
The production supervisor also receives functional direction and guidance from the Quality Control Manager and Maintenance Manager on daily operational matters related to quality and maintenance, respectively.
In addition, the Production Supervisor works closely with shift Warehouse Supervisor to coordinate availability of materials stored.
The Production Supervisor directs a work force of between 15 and 20 employees, and is responsible for informing, educating, and coaching his/her team in regards to company policies, procedures, and G.

Supervisor's work force will include production workers, machine operators, forklift operators, and mechanics.
This position is overtime exempt salaried position and accompanying compensation package will be commensurate with experience.
Weekend work, although not regularly scheduled, is at times needed and contingent upon production demand and staffing levels.
Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Valid driver's license in good standing Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Excellent math skills to adequately perform and interpret calculations.
Working knowledge of Excel, Windows, and Microsoft Office applications.
Must be a flexible team player capable of working in a deadline dictated environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment while multi-tasking Ability to read, interpret and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, correspondence and procedure manuals in English.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization Duties and
Responsibilities:
Effectively balance the time spent monitoring equipment operation, coordinating raw materials, preparing reports and motivating and supervising plant employees.
Ability to maintain a good management-employee relationship.
In addition to regular office computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Excel, Word, email), other highly valued skills for this position are the ability to understand and use manufacturing software applications Packaging material and product inventory, production work order management, and quality control monitoring.
